Have you ever tried Calpico? Many of you who have been to Japan or are regulars at Maido will probably be familiar with it.
Calpico is a refreshing drink with a fresh flavor created from freshly squeezed Japanese milk and the fermentation of lactic acid bacteria and yeast that have been passed down for 100 years. It is a globally popular beverage that aims not only for physical health but also for mental health, symbolized by the smiles that its delicious taste brings. The most popular type is of course the ready-to-drink type in the fridge, but in fact, there are several other types of Calpico sold on the shelves where tea bags and other drinks are sold at Maido. Among them, the Concentrate type is very useful for arranging recipes and can be used not only for drinks but also for food. Ready-to-drink Calpico This is the most popular type. It is a good size of 16.9 fl oz/500 ml and great for any occasion. You can have it with your meal at Maido, or carry it around with you when you go out. Original, lychee, mango, strawberry, melon, and white peach flavors are available.

Ready-to-drink Calpico large size If you do not feel the smaller size is not big enough for you, or you would like to share with someone else, this size with 50.7 fl oz/1.5 l must be a better choice! Since the melon flavor is new (it came out last year), they do not make it in a bigger size, hopefully "yet".

Make-it-your-own concentrate
This time is perfect to enjoy at home. You can make it however strong you want depending on your preferences. As we mentioned above, you can use it for cooking as well. We will introduce some recipe using this in the next blog post. Each package contains 33.8 fl oz/1 l, but you can get to drink/eat way more than that!
