New at Maido is Shikuwasa Mozuku! The newest addition to our line of products featuring the seaweed superfood from Okinawa, this mozuku is flavored with a native Okinawan citrus, called shikuwasa. Shikuwasa resembles a lime in appearance and has a similarly sour flavor, giving this mozuku a pleasant citrus twist. In addition to its flavor, shikuwasa is also known for its high concentration of nutrients-- primarily vitamin C and a flavonoid called nobiletin. Nobiletin is renowned for its anti-carcinogenic properties and, combined with the dense nutrient load of mozuku seaweed, works to help slow ageing, balance blood sugar, and promote overall well-being.
